We are searching for an experienced person with background in international technology business and channel-based sales of high-technology products, preferably across European markets and possibly in Defence business. The new Sales Team Lead office is in Mikkeli, where you will have a modern working environment, close to support, production and product development. As a Team Lead, you are important part of the Commercial organisation and its management team. You will be responsible for lead, support, and mentor a team, consisting of four Sales Managers.

Bertin Environics, part of Bertin Technologies Group, is a Finnish company with nearly 40 years of experience from improving CBRN safety around the world with its in-house technologies and system solutions. We provide early warning chemical, biological and radiation detection & monitoring system for wide variety of application ranging from personal safety and building protection to naval vessels and armoured vehicles. Foundation of our solutions lies in long experience and expertise, and it’s built from COTS products with new scalable system architecture. Our solutions are used in over 80 different countries, including nearly all NATO member states.
You will follow structured sales discipline according to well-established sales process, including consistent CRM usage and accurate lead tracking. Drive development of high-quality monthly sales forecasts with a data-driven approach. Foster collaboration, motivation, and continuous improvement across the team.
You are expected to manage current distributors and identify, recruit, and onboard new qualified distributors. Negotiate distribution agreements and establish clear business plans with defined KPIs. Train and empower distributors to effectively represent our products, systems and services. Conduct joint customer visits and drive trust-based long-term relationships.
The new Sales Team Lead will also take responsibility for developing and managing distributor networks in selected European countries, including partner evaluation, selection, negotiating contracts, training, co-selling and setting performance targets.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role combines leadership, commercial development, and customer engagement to ensure our customers high quality sales processes with products, systems and services.
We expect you to have experience and skills like:
- Senior level working experience in international B2B technology sales, preferably with high-technology or industrial products.
- Proven track record in channel / distributor management.
- Experience working in or with European markets is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset and data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Confidence in CRM (we use a SUGAR) usage, pipeline discipline, and sales forecasting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities; capable of guiding experienced sales professionals with respect and clarity.
- Modern, human and coaching style leadership.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel regularly across assigned markets. Estimate 40 days/year.
- Fluent in English and in Finnish.
