We are searching for a commercial thinking and business growth mindset-oriented person, to the Service Business Manager role, to join the successful and international Bertin Environics family.
The new Service Business Manager is to lead strong multidisciplinary team of professionals and to strengthen and expand our service business in the defence and homeland security markets. The Service Business Manager develop and commercialize new service offerings and carry sales responsibility for service-related business. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role combines leadership, commercial development, and customer engagement to ensure our customers receive world-class support and innovative service solutions.

Bertin Environics, part of Bertin Technologies Group, is a Finnish company with nearly 40 years of experience from improving CBRN safety around the world with its in-house technologies and system solutions. We provide early warning chemical, biological and radiation detection & monitoring system for wide variety of application ranging from personal safety and building protection to naval vessels and armoured vehicles. Foundation of our solutions lies in long experience and expertise, and it’s built from COTS products with new scalable system architecture. Our solutions are used in over 80 different countries, including nearly all NATO member states.
The new Service Business Manager office is in Mikkeli, where you will have a modern working environment, close to sales, production and product development. As a manager, you are important part of the Commercial organisation and its management team. You will be responsible for lead, support, and develop a team, consisting of 5 experts.
You will drive commercialization and sales of service offerings, including training, maintenance agreements, system life cycle and customer support. Lead the commercialization of software and embedded system services, including licensing models. This task is quite new to the sales organization and requires a vision and coaching approach.
You are expected to contribute to achieving company objectives and collaborate closely with the Commercial Organization to ensure service business is integrated into proposals and contracts. The key is to build strong customer relationships in defense and homeland security sectors. Explore opportunities for building ILS as a competitive advantage in the international sales market.
In operational area to ensure high-quality service delivery for customers worldwide. Oversee resource allocation, planning, and performance of service operations. Act as an escalation point for customer service and support issues. You own the customer satisfaction process.
We expect you to have experience and skills like:
- Proven experience in service business management, sales, or business development, preferably in technology-driven sectors.
- Strong coaching style leadership and people management skills with ability to motivate, engage, and support team members.
- Strong analytical skills, sales oriented, and customer focused attitude.
- Commercial mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in developing new business models for software, licensing and services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and with customers.
- Fluent in English and in Finnish.
